Begin your adventure in Fes and head through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at Ifrane—known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”—and the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary apes. Continue to the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga where you’ll embark on a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, spending a night in a traditional Berber camp. On your return, travel back to Fes with stops at local villages and scenic viewpoints.

Day 1: Fes – Middle Atlas Mountains – Ifrane – Azrou
Depart Fes early morning and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit the alpine town of Ifrane, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and explore the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel or guesthouse in the Mid Atlas region.

Day 2: Mid Atlas – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Drive through the spectacular Ziz Valley, a lush palm oasis dotted with traditional Berber villages. Continue to Erfoud, a gateway town to the Sahara. Arrive in Merzouga and embark on an unforgettable camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight in a traditional Berber desert camp under the starry Sahara sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Sunrise Camel Trek – Erfoud
Rise early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise over the dunes. Return by camel to Merzouga for breakfast. Depart for Erfoud, stopping at scenic villages and desert landscapes along the way. Overnight in a hotel or guesthouse near Erfoud.

Day 4: Erfoud – Mid Atlas – Fes
Return to Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains with stops to admire panoramic views and local villages. Arrive in Fes in the evening, marking the end of your Sahara Desert adventure.
